Mother's Day Craft Day 5 : Large Paper Flower


A simple Mother's Day gift idea for Moms who like adding to their seasonal home decor - gigantic paper flowers! These flowers can add a whimsical touch to any room or can be used as a centerpiece or backdrop during an event. Perfect for photo walls, they make a big impact while still being easy to create on your own. Best of all, its handmade and that what moms love the most!

Just follow along - it's much easier than you think. All it takes is a little bit of patience and tons of love!

DIY MAKER KIT INCLUDES


WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Bone Folder (Optional)
  • Craft Mat (Optional)


INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Starting with the largest size, put the first leaf straight up on to the mat
  2. Angle the second piece just to the right and adhere it using hot glue gun 
  3. Repeat the above step for all five leaves and adhere them at the center
  4. Now take the next size and fold each leaf from corner to corner
  5. Adhere each of them between two leaves of the first layer
  6. Repeat this step for all five leaves 
  7. Take the next size and fold each leaf from corner to corner 
  8. Glue each of them between two leaves of the second layer
  9. Repeat this step for all five leaves
  10. Finally, take the smallest size and fold each leaf from corner to corner
  11. Glue each of them between the two leaves of the third layer
  12. Repeat these step for all five leaves and that's it your flower is ready!
P.S.
  • Using a hot glue gun gives a stronger bond and makes it more durable
  • Fold each leaf using a bone folder for a crisp fold and better dimension
